AAF/OMF Interchange Utility for Pro Tools
DigiTranslator 2.0 is the key to effortless project workflows in the file-based world, allowing users to import and export sequences from other applications to and from Pro Tools with the maximum flexibility. With DigiTranslator 2.0 fully integrated into the Pro Tools application, AAF and OMF sequences can be opened and imported directly into new or existing Pro Tools sessions for the sweetening process. Likewise, Pro Tools tracks can be exported in AAF or OMF format with all of the requirements to ensure downstream compatibility.
Via expanded Import Session Data capabilities, options for handling rendered audio effects, clip-based and keyframe gain allow the Pro Tools editor the most flexibility when receiving sequences from other editors and platforms. Users can choose to link, consolidate, copy or change audio file formats and apply SRC with pull up/down options if needed.
Exporting from Pro Tools to AAF or OMF supports media consolidation with user-definable handles, copying and transcoding to a range of formats including BWF (.WAV), AIFF, MXF and SD2 (OMF only) with target session frame rates up to 60 FPS for compatibility with HD editing and playback environments. And since the export functionality is track based, it allows users to include only what’s needed, which makes the export process as efficient as possible.
DigiTranslator 2.0 is the perfect counterpart for Pro Tools systems using Avid video peripherals , providing simple, fast and powerful sequence exchange between Avid and Digidesign platforms.
